Meet Jessica Nichols

[Director of Development & Sustainability]

Jessica officially joined Camp Oakland in June 2023, but her connection to the organization dates back to the 1990s. Both her mother and grandmother worked at Camp Oakland, and Jessica herself attended the onsite daycare back in 1993, making Camp Oakland a special part of her family's history. Jessica has a bachelor's degree in communication from Oakland University and a master's degree in healthcare management from the University of Michigan-Flint. Jessica brings her bubbly personality, creativity, and passion for building relationships to Camp Oakland, where she leads fundraising efforts and helps cultivate meaningful connections with donors, sponsors, and the community. Her enthusiasm and innovative approach play an important role in supporting Camp Oakland's mission and ensuring its programs continue to make a lasting impact.

Whether she's planning one of Camp Oakland's annual fundraising events, organizing career workshops, applying for grants, or building relationships with community partners, Jessica is always on the go, sharing Camp Oakland's mission and expanding its impact. Her enthusiasm and dedication help raise awareness, strengthen community connections, and create opportunities that support the organization's continued success.
